I offer products that are sold only to salons. This is one of my personal pet peeves. Now, before I get started – don’t get me wrong – I love to shop at Target and Walmart, but it just annoys me to no end when specialty hair products end up on discount shelves. It ends up discounting the worth of the products to the customer. That’s why I only offer product lines that are sold only to salons. I am very picky about what I offer.

My favorite hair product of all time is the Root Lifter from KIS. It gives you body without feeling sticky. You spray it on, but it doesn’t feel like a mousse. I love it because you get all the benefits without the sticky, goopy feeling.

My other best sellers are the shampoo and conditioner from Pravana – they’re sulfate-free so that they don’t strip your hair color, and they’re very conditioning.

I try to remember the four agreements all the time. Not to take things personally is the hardest for me – I have to remind myself frequently. I can’t tell you all the other agreements right now, because I loaned out my book. You’ll have to go pick it up yourself ;-).

Five Wishes by Gay Hendricks –

Huh, that looks funny – Four Agreements and Five Wishes. What’s next? Six Concepts? OK – back to the topic: Five Wishes was just recommended to me by Dr. Leah. It’s next on my “to read” list. But, based on her recommendation alone, I would tell you to read this book. It’s about deciding what’s truly important to you based on whether you believe your life has been completely successful.

The Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale –

This is another book that was recommended to me in massage class. Wow. This book has been central to my thinking in the past two years. I credit the methods in this book with me developing my hair business so easily and quickly. I read this book 5 times in the first 2 weeks I owned it.

Deepak Chopra books –

I saw this guy on CNN once and thought he was a smart guy. I can’t tell you the name of my favorite of his books because I loaned it out. Just to the bookstore and look around at his stuff. See if you like it as much as I do.

The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer –

I got a set of his CD’s as a gift and have been listening to them over and over. I love the story of Shaya and finding God’s perfection in how we treat each other on earth.
